• Question: What do you think about geology as a subject and would you consider it as a science or a humanity?

      Definitely a science to me. Very interesting area which gives us lots of information on how the Earth has changed over millions of years, and changes that are happening now that will have effects into the future.

      Definitely a Science studying the rocks the Earth is composed of and the processes in which they change. I think it is an interesting area as it helps us understand the evolutionary history of life.

      Both my parents studied Geology so naturally I think it’s a great subject (and I nearly chose to study it myself – mostly because of the field trip opportunities!). Definitely a science and I think there are opportunities to go on to do some very interesting things with a geology degree – both in research and in industry.
