      It depends what caused it, you will usually be given a tablet to reduce the acidity of your stomach which would allow the ulcer to heal but if there is also an infection, you might be given an antibiotic to get rid of that too.

      With treatment, most stomach ulcers will heal within a month or two. The treatment you will need depends on what caused the ulcer. Patients are either given antibiotics or a medication called a proton pump inhibitor,which reduces the amount of acid produced.
