Most of my work is with endurance athletes and in particular marathon running. I am fascinated by what allows someone to run 26 miles at speeds of around 18.4 Kph (females) and around 20.2 Kph (males) for around 2-2 1/2 hours.
I’m going to say running as well but for a bit different reason to Dan, I’m just fascinated as to how our body is able to adapt to the different things we ask of it and how our bodies work even when parts of our legs are not performing at their best (e.g. they are weaker than other parts, or aren’t moving in what we would consider the ‘correct’ way).
I’m equally amazed as Dan though as to how a body can keep going at such high speeds for such long periods of time!
