I always liked Science at school and worked hard to get good grades in Science. I like to think I am a good scientist now and have tried to attain a breadth of experiences during my education and career to date.

I worked hard to learn as much as I could in school and university which was made a lot easier by really liking what I was doing. I like to think I’m a good scientist now as I have learnt things from people who are some of the best in the area, I value the importance doing an experiment the right way using suitable measurement techniques, I’m not afraid to ask questions when I don’t know what to do, and I like telling people who aren’t scientists about what I do and what I find which is an important part of a modern scientist’s job. I also hope what I do makes a difference to someone’s life!
